Description: Our fantastically tasty Barbecue spice is blended to help add delicious flavours of the barbecue to all of your meat and vegetable dishes. We experimented with only the best quality herbs and spices to bring you a carefully selected and expertly blended mix of garlic, onion, rosemary, allspice, black pepper, chillies, cumin, mustard, paprika, ginger and salt to give you an incredibly versatile spice blend. Our blend will help your summer BBQ’s sizzle, but it can be used all the year round! The blend works with meat, poultry, ‘meaty’ fish such as monkfish and vegetables.

Interesting Fact: Nobody really knows where the barbecue first surfaced as a means of cooking, some sources say that the Spanish coined the term ‘barbacoa’ to describe the method of cooking done by the natives when they arrived to explore the Caribbean coast. The method of cooking that the Spanish witnessed soon found its way to the deep South of America and by the mid-19th century most regions were practising the art of barbecuing and the barbecue found its way to Europe and Australia.

Ingredients: Garlic, Onion, Rosemary, Allspice, Black Pepper, Chillies, Cumin, Mustard, Paprika, Ginger and Salt.

Allergy Advice: This product contains the allergen mustard, and also chilli, cumin and black pepper which contain naturally occurring sources of salicylates and are best avoided by people eating a salicylate free diet.

SUGGESTED USE

Mix with oil or yogurt to make a spicy marinade for chicken, meat and fish. Sprinkle a little over freshly made popcorn and before cooking homemade potato crisps for a spicy savoury twist, add a little to a breadcrumb coating for chicken or fish. Use to make marinades and spicy dips and sprinkle on to potato wedges to make barbecue spiced wedges. Uses as a dry rub to help marinade meat and poultry. Mixed with mayonnaise, it makes a tasty dip for meat and vegetables.

Shelf Life

Shelf life of two years provided that goods are stored in an airtight container in ambient conditions.
