Food For Life Certified

At a time when food choices are more connected than ever to our health, environment, and communities, the Food for Life certification stands as a gold standard for doing food right. We’re proud to announce that we are now officially Food for Life certified — a recognition that reflects our deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and social responsibility.

But what does Food for Life certification actually mean? And why should you care?

Let’s break it down...

What Is Food for Life?

Food for Life is a programme by the Soil Association in the UK, dedicated to transforming food culture in schools, hospitals, care homes, and workplaces. It champions good food that is healthy, sustainable, and freshly prepared — with a strong focus on ethical sourcing and environmental stewardship.

Being certified means going beyond ticking boxes. It’s a pledge to serve food that’s:

  • Better for health: Offering nutritious ingredients.

  • Better for the planet: The certification promotes local, seasonal produce, organic ingredients, and reduced food waste.

  • Better for animal welfare: Products come from higher-welfare sources, supporting ethical farming practices.

  • Better for society: Food for Life encourages stronger connections between caterers, local communities, and sustainable food producers.

What We Did to Earn Certification

Achieving certification meant looking at every part of our food offering, from sourcing to preparation to service. We focused on:

  • Fresh, seasonal ingredients: Prioritising organic options where possible.

  • Traceability and transparency: Ensuring our entire range is transparent and can be traced from fark to fork with our close-knit relationship with farmers.

  • Healthy offerings: Offering nutritious ingredients that promote health and wellbeing.

  • Sustainable practices: Minimising waste, cutting single-use plastics, and reducing our carbon footprint.

Why It Matters

More than just a label, the Food for Life certification represents our values — and the values of our customers. In a world where fast food and convenience often come at a high cost to health and the environment, we believe in doing better.

Whether you're a parent choosing school meals, a hospital patient recovering with nourishing food, or a guest enjoying a catered meal, this certification gives you peace of mind: the food on your plate is fresh, fair, and responsibly sourced.

Looking Ahead

We see this certification not as the finish line, but as a foundation. We’ll continue to innovate, improve, and collaborate with local suppliers, chefs, and communities to create food that’s good in every sense of the word.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Together, we’re making real food the norm — not the exception.
