Description: Our Chicken Rub is a tasty and easy way of adding mouth-watering flavour to all your chicken dishes, it’s a tasty blend of salt, paprika, tarragon, cumin, garlic, parsley and black pepper, a combination of herbs and spices that are perfect for flavouring chicken and poultry which will impart an aromatic, mildly spiced, savoury note with peppery undertones to your dishes. Interesting Fact: Did you know that what you marinade your poultry or meat in can change the texture and flavour of your finished dish? A marinade with an acidic base such as vinegar or lemon juice will break down the fibres of tougher cuts of meat allowing them to become more tender, milk and yogurt also help and can help add additional moisture to chicken without the need for adding oil if you want to make a healthier marinade. To make sure that our of your marinade and the ensuing flavours permeate your chicken, prick or score the item prior to adding the marinade.

Ingredients: Salt, Paprika, Tarragon French, Cumin, Garlic, Parsley and Black Pepper.

Allergy Advice: This product contains tarragon, cumin and black pepper which contain naturally occurring sources of salicylates and are best avoided by people eating a salicylate free diet.




SUGGESTED USE

You can use this rub as a dry marinade for chicken and turkey, sprinkle it on to chicken breasts liberally and leave to marinade for 2 hours, or overnight in the fridge if possible to allow the flavours to permeate the chicken. Add to homemade chicken burgers, as a seasoning to stews and casseroles, this rub can even be added to breadcrumb coatings for chicken. It can also be used to ‘liven’ up a Sunday roast, brush a chicken or turkey with melted butter or olive oil and rub the chicken rub all over the skin, leave to marinate for several hours then roast as normal, for additional flavour sprinkle a little of the rub on to roast potatoes as well! For best results add two heaped teaspoons of this blend to a little oil or yoghurt and rub well into chicken pieces.
