Other Names: Black Elder, Common Elder, Pipe Tree, Bore Tree, Judas Tree, Lady Ellhorn, Whistle Tree, Old Lady, Hylder, Hylantree, Eldrum, Ellhorn, Hollunder and Sureau.
Description: Elderflower is famous for its subtle pear-like sweet flavours, floral fragrance, and tiny creamy yellow flowers but when cooked with gooseberries or rhubarb, these flowers add a muscat wine flavour to the finished dish!
SUGGESTED USE
Use the dried flowers to make sweet syrups, to flavour jellies and ice cream or turn into vinegar, cordial, and wine. When cooked with gooseberries or rhubarb Elderflowers add a Muscat wine flavour to the finished dish!DISCLAIMER
