Our Company Allergen Policy Statement outlines the allergens that have been risk assessed by JustIngredients and the allergens which are currently traded by JustIngredients.

Our policy statement also provides information regarding how allergens are referenced on our product specifications, how allergens are handled by our suppliers, and how allergens are referenced on our packed products.

Allergen statement

The following allergen statement is applicable to all products sold by JustIngredients Ltd.

JustIngredients Limited supplies a range of products that are internationally sourced from approved suppliers. Information is gathered from all suppliers to enhance knowledge of the product and supplier handling procedures. The following products which are or contain allergens may be handled by approved suppliers on behalf of JustIngredients Limited;

• Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut and their hybrid strains)
• Peanuts
• Soybeans
• Nuts
• Celery
• Mustard
• Milk and dairy products
• Sesame seeds
• Products containing sulphur dioxide and sulphites at concentrations of more than 10mg/kg or 10mg/litre expressed as sulphur dioxide.

Allergen Advisory statement and low level agricultural contamination

As part of our BRC accreditation, we are required to monitor existing and emerging issues in order to notify customers of any threats to the products supplied.

In order to be fully transparent with our customers, a number of our products carry an additional allergen advisory statement which is clearly stated on the product specification. This statement refers to low level agricultural contamination (LLAC). Where intercropping and crop rotation takes place, low level agricultural contamination with wheat, mustard, celery and/or peanuts can occur. Where intercropping and crop rotation with these allergens takes place, low level agricultural contamination can occur. Low level agricultural contamination occurs when there is any contact between the ingredient crop and the allergen crop, such as but not limited to: when the previous allergen crop re-seeds naturally, seeds; crops are accidentally contaminated during harvest; or when stems and roots of an allergen plant are dug back in to the soil to improve fertility. JustIngredients Limited uses suppliers that are aware of allergen contamination and these suppliers have controls in place to limit exposure to allergens.

Please note, we source our ingredients from a number of suppliers internationally. To provide you with the most accurate information, process-flow information will be batch specific. We advise that you contact our technical team before placing an order so that they can advise stock levels and determine the exact batch number of the goods you will receive on your order. Please note that if you require goods from a specific batch or supplier, this may increase the lead time of goods and our trade team must be advised of this before an order is placed.

Should you require allergen testing, we can arrange to have samples sent to an approved UKAS accredited facility. Please note that this must be arranged with our technical team before an order is placed as there may be additional charges associated with this service and your order may be subject to a MOQ.
