Other Names: Chokeberries and aronia.
Description: Choke Berries have components of tartness and dryness with earth undertones while the high tannins contribute to its astringency. Either way, these berries will cause your mouth to pucker!
Do not consume raw; aronia (choke) berries should be cooked at a minimum of 80°c for at least 10 minutes before use. Consumption is not recommended during pregnancy or by children under 18 years of age.
