Description: Our size 0 Gelatine Capsules, also known as Gel Caps, Gelcaps and SoftGel Caps are made of gelatine derived from animal collagen, they can be used to make supplements filled with herb or vitamin powders, dried herbs, liquids or other medications and are ideal for making strong or unpalatable tasting powders easier to take. Each pack contains 1,000 capsules.

Approximate Dimensions & Volume of Size 00: Vol 0.95ml, Locked Length of Capsule 23.3mm, External Diameter 8.53mm. Each capsule will hold between 550mg – 1100mg of powder.

Interesting Fact: Did you know that gelatine is only produced from natural raw materials which originate from animals that have been examined and accepted for human consumption by veterinary authorities? The pharmaceutical industry uses gelatine capsules to make certain drugs and preparations easier to administer and consume, this form of capsule is also less expensive to produce than cellulose based capsules.

SUGGESTED USE

Separate both halves of the capsule and fill one half of the capsule with your chosen filling material. Press the unfilled half of the capsule into the filled half and place the completed capsule in a suitable container and store in a cool, dark place. Home capsule making machines can be purchased for this size capsule which will enable you to fill up to 50 capsules at a time.
